CNN's International Women's Day

Artist and journalist Ashleigh Walters was one of about 50 artists in the world chosen to participate in the effort for CNN International's recognition of International Women's Day. 

CNN International asked its audience and its journalists to suggest quotes from women of note, including authors, campaigners and leaders.

Then, female designers from around the world were asked to illustrate the quotes.
